What was your 30-day goal?

To list all of Twede's Cafe products into my eBay store.

Did you achieve your 30-day goal? List specifically what you accomplished during the Unstoppable Women Challenge.

Yes! I'm a newbie eBay store owner and this was my way of getting my feet wet. I had to take pictures of the products, weigh them for shipping calculation, measure for package sizes, learn how to use TurboLister to bulk list all the items, learn how to set up the eBay store, once people starting buying products (the first day I had listed them!), I had to learn how to package and ship, and do all the communication within PayPal and eBay. I also started playing around with customizing the store, but just started getting into that.

What motivated you to participate in the Unstoppable Women Challenge? What were you no longer willing to settle for in your life?

Janelle Elms was the inspiration (again!) to accept this challenge. I'm a member of the WIN (Women of Intention Network) group (which I haven't attended lately, but I am doing the homework), and this was the homework! I was no longer willing to let someone control my income, so I set a breakthrough goal of replacing my corporate income with income generated by my own business.

How do you feel about the progress you achieved by participating in the Unstoppable Women Challenge? What was the greatest benefit you received by participating in this program? How is your life different from when you first started the Challenge.

I feel great about my progress! I'm making progress daily. I've always set goals, but never reached them. This gave me a systematic way of setting goals and subsequent tasks to reach those goals. One task a day, that's all it takes. I feel like I'm getting out of procrastination h***!

What's the greatest obstacle you had to overcome? How did you get past it in order to successfully complete your goal?

My greatest obstacle WAS my natural ability to procrastinate. I set aside time in the morning to read a chapter and identify the task I wanted to accomplish. Then I set aside some time in the evening to complete that task and email my buddy (my sister in Princeton!). I had to setup recurring appointments in my Outlook calendar to remind me I had something to do, the geek alarm clock!

What was the greatest tool, support system, or reward you received that enabled or motivated you to complete your Unstoppable Women Challenge?

I would say it was the sense of accomplishment, I did something that I set my mind to. I made a promise and I kept it!

What's the most important limiting belief you had to change in order to successfully complete the Unstoppable Women Challenge?

I didn't have the time or energy.

What's the most important disempowering behavior you had to eliminate in order to successfully complete your 30-day goal?

My laziness.

How did giving back to others impact your life over the last 30 days.

Keeping virtually daily contact with my sister was really nice. We shared our dreams, victories, no so victories!

Would you recommend this program to others and why?

Definitely! I'm sure there are others out there that are procrastinators and have excuses for not doing what they said they were going to do, just like me. I know how good it feels when you don't break that promise to yourself. I'd like have others like me feel the way I do now, empowered!

Thanks for sharing this great strategy and stories to go along with it. It's changed my life!

Women’s Business Mastermind

Diann 5 Mastermind (5 minutes)

Janelle – I am out of town so not answering emails everyday. I did want to think about this – I guess my update on my business is that I am reading thru the email suggestions on the masterminds and haven’t gotten too far in implementing them as I am also trying to get things listed – so I am trying to divide my time well – unexpected family things have entered into my time. So I am thankful again that I have chosen eBay but realize I can’t get everything done as fast as I would like.

I think I got really good info from the group that will keep me busy– I am very appreciative of the time and thought that went into the very specific suggestions – I really like having concrete as compared to vague thoughts. Please thank them – this is very hard for me to miss both these meetings – I get so much info that is helpful! Thank you again for your time, Janelle – and before you cancel either – please ask the group to help with your time commitment to it so we can continue.

  • I have decided to go with the 40% commission fee and eliminate all the confusing explanation of how the eBay fees work – specially complicating when I list something in the store! I can tell that Carol is smiling that I am instituting that change right away! I also raised my d’cluttering fee!

  • I am bogged down with the automating step that I know I need to do – I want something that will be easy and not have to get more than one to do what I need – which I need to further define. I have not gotten consistent ++ feedback on the different programs – I am trying to figure out how to evaluate them without using them as I am trying to eliminate trying out several due to the learning curve. I am not always sure what questions to ask to know if it will work for me. If everyone could just tell me which they use – some gave me input on this – others did not. So can that happen – or should I post this on the boards?

  • I have decided to work harder on not consigning small items even from customers that have given me larger more profitable things – this is something I thought I was doing but realize that I slide into the “I can be helpful part of my personality”! A good wake-up call.

  • I am excited and doing the mastermind helped me clarify what I am doing and really revealed that I need to clarify more about the d’cluttering process so I don’t get bogged down involved in something that was not my intent to be doing.

I can’t wait for my 6 month update as I really am planning to work hard & smart to improve what I have started! I can’t thank you enough. You are so helpful and encouraging, Janelle! Oh, I am on target with my financial goals, which is very fun!!!!
